The Level

In This Issue:

We are halfway through our six-month journey from $12K MRR (monthly recurring revenue) to $50K MRR with Amanda Goetz and Level Up Creators. Here's what it will take for her biz to level up, and how yours can too. Take a look inside.👇

Hi Reader,

Where do you start when you want to grow your creator business?

Right here.

We are on the journey from $12K MRR to $50K MRR with Amanda Goetz (pronounced “gets”).

And three months in...

One year ago, Amanda left her 9-5 corporate job for her solopreneur journey. She hit $12K in monthly recurring revenue (MRR) in just six months. But then, she hit a ceiling—a scaling ceiling.

At this point, creators need more than elbow grease and enthusiasm.

Enter the Amanda + Amanda partnership.

Amanda Geotz needed strategic insight to help her build a sustainable, recurring revenue business.

So we’re sharing it all in public so you can build yours too.

Two Biz Lessons

Let’s be real—the first three months of refining and redefining a business are intense.

We dove deep into every corner of Amanda’s business to be sure she was building the right things for the right people in the right order.

  • We needed to prioritize. Using a Notion board to keep everything organized, we prioritized tasks based on impact and urgency, and worked on the most important things first.
  • We focused on getting the most out of what she already had (instead of jumping straight to new launches). This meant tweaking funnels, refining her messaging, and ensuring every product had a clear path for upsells and cross-sells.

You have to start with recurring revenue... I explain that and more below 👇

Your Turn
To scale your own creator business, here are four actionable steps you can start today:

  1. Break Down Your Big Goals:

    Example
: Say your goal is to launch a new course. Instead of trying to do everything at once, break it down. Start with researching what your audience wants, then create a waitlist page to gauge interest. After that, you can move on to content creation, marketing, and finally, the launch.

This step-by-step approach keeps you from getting overwhelmed AND helps you build in low-risk iterations, rather than building a product in the dark, potentially only to find no one wants it.
  2. Optimize Before You Expand:

    Example
: Before launching something new, what do you already have? How can you make it better? If you have a course that’s selling okay, consider adding a live Q&A session or office hours to increase its value and appeal.
  3. Use Project Management Tools to Stay on Track:

    Example
: I can’t stress enough how much our Notion board has helped keep things organized. But you don’t need to start with something complex—Trello or even a simple Google Sheet will work wonders.

The key is to list out your tasks, set deadlines, and prioritize what’s going to move the needle the most.
  4. Create Recurring Revenue from the Start:

    Example
: Consider hosting your course on a membership platform. Instead of just offering a one-time purchase, offer an annual-only membership option (for the price you were going to charge for the course).

And members get access to the course plus ongoing support, exclusive content, or a community forum. This keeps your audience engaged and brings in steady income.

  • New Product Launches: We’re rolling out new products that align perfectly with Amanda’s audience’s needs, based on all the research and testing we’ve done so far.
  • Deepening Audience Engagement: We’ll be focusing heavily on nurturing her email list—because those are the people most invested in what she has to offer. If you’re on the list, expect some exciting new content coming your way!
  • Continuous Testing: We’ll keep a close eye on what’s working and what’s not, making tweaks along the way to ensure we hit that $50K MRR goal.

I'll share how a health crisis at 27 changed my approach to business… and everything.
