This Week’s Shift: From Buffet → Staircase
A product ladder is not a list of offers. It’s the path someone takes through your world. Most founders build like a buffet:
“Here are all the ways you can work with me.” What actually works is a staircase: “Here’s where you start. Here’s what comes next.”
1. Your method comes first Before the ladder, there’s the method.
If you can’t clearly name how you get someone from problem → outcome, you can’t build progression. Your ladder is just your method… broken into stages. This is the beginning of everything.
2. Build the three core rungs You don’t need more offers. You need three that actually connect.
Beachhead (Entry Point) Where someone enters your world. Fast clarity. Low commitment. Real signal. Think: workshop, audit, intensive.
Follow-On (Core Work) Where the transformation actually happens. Structured. Repeatable. Outcome-driven.
Think: group program or core engagement. Maximize LTV (Expansion) Where depth and longevity live.
This is where relationships turn into infrastructure. Think: advisory, retainers, licensing. |
