Years ago, I had to take Tramadol before my 1:1s with my boss.
Not because I was ill.
Because the meetings were.

He’d lose it on people in front of the team.
Tantrums. Shame tactics.
I remember thinking "if this is what leadership looks like, I want nothing to do with it."

So when clients tell me they “don’t see themselves as CEOs,” I don’t push back.
I nod.

Because I didn’t either, until I redefined it on my terms.

→ Making decisions that move the business forward and don’t burn you out

You don’t have to become someone else.
You just have to stop defaulting to operator mode when your business needs a strategist.

You don’t need to vanish from your business. You need a machine that runs with you, not because of you.

A business that lets your expertise shine…
with strategy that supports every single task, every single day.

This is the shift from high-achieving operator → intentional architect.
From MVP of every department → leader of a business that reflects your vision and sustains your life.

You’ve already earned your seat.
Now it’s time to reclaim the role that turns what you know into something scalable, strategic, and sustainable.

Not louder.
Clearer.
Not more.
More leveraged.

This is leadership — without the burnout badge.

Your Next Move

Ask yourself:
What kind of CEO do I want to be?

Not what you’ve seen. Not what you’ve rejected.
What kind of leadership actually fits you. Your brain, your values, your life?

Then block 10 minutes this week.
No screen. No Slack. Just pen and paper.

Ask:

1. What am I still doing because I’m good at it, not because I should be doing it?

2. Where am I the bottleneck but pretending I’m the solution?

3. What decision have I been avoiding that a true CEO would have already made?
   
   

Write down what comes up. No edits.
That’s where the shift begins.

You’re not building a business to impress someone.
You’re building one that reflects who you are.
